The countryside and coastline around
Deepdale offer wonderful opportunities for walking and cycling.
There are walking routes for long distance hikers and ramblers, for more
relaxed walkers or even if you enjoy a bit of Australian tramping.
We can't offer mountains or hard core mountain
bike routes, but Norfolk isn't the flat pancake it's often described as,
meaning there is something for most walkers & cyclists, especially distance
paths and
touring cycling.
Deepdale Bike Hire will be opening
on 31st March 2012 - more information will be posted soon.
On Deepdale Farm, we have had temporary stewardship
walks, but one has now ended and the other will end soon. However
to replace these, we are looking to create a
circular
temporary walk, which will be
invitation only. Watch this space and we'll let you know more
information soon.
The Norfolk Coast Path passes the door of
Deepdale Farm heading both East and West along the coast, linking
Burnham Deepdale to Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Sheringham
and Cromer. For more information visit the
Peddars Way & Norfolk Coast Path website -

The CoastHopper bus service runs from
Hunstanton to Sheringham, and often to King's Lynn and Cromer too (Every
1/2 hour in the Summer and every hour in the Winter).
It stops at nearly every village along the north Norfolk coast, so is a
superb service for those wishing to walk the Norfolk Coast Path.
In fact you can stay at Deepdale for the whole of your stay and just hop
on and off the bus to start or finish your walking wherever you like.
More information can be found on the Coasthopper website -
www.coasthopper.co.uk
There are many other fabulous walks in the local
area, including a circular walk around Barrow Common and Brancaster.
More information on these walks can be found on the
Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale website -

The Hull to Harwich
National Cycle Route No1
passes a few miles inland, which takes you West to Hunstanton and King's
Lynn and East to Wells-next-the-Sea, Fakenham and Norwich. Route 1
links with Local Route 30, which runs from Wells-next-the-Sea
around the northern and eastern coast of Norfolk. For more
information on the National Cycle Routes in the Deepdale area visit:
