Just imagine turning up at Deepdale and knowing that the most elegant and noble of homes is there waiting for you.  Enjoy sleeping under canvas, without having to struggle to put up your own tent.

Unload your bags, remember your sleeping bag or duvet and move into the relaxed space that is a Deepdale Tipi.

Why not spend a few nights staying in one of our authentic Sioux Native American style tipis (teepees or tepees).  You will be staying in the king of tents with room to stand, walk around and enjoy the company of your partner or family around the real fire.

Deepdale Tipis, perfect for a family holiday

Our tipis (teepees or tepees) have recently been featured in
The Independent, The Times, The Telegraph and on This Morning

Tipi price includes:
  • Faux fur covered sleeping mat (to be kept on site)
  • Cast iron chiminea for heat including paper, kindling and fuel for the fire (Remember that although there is a fire, staying in a tipi is much like a tent, so bring suitable clothing for the time of year) **
  • Fold-away chairs (to be kept on site)
  • BBQ outside (in case you want to cater for yourselves)
  • and for when it gets dark, a windup lantern
Sorry, but those staying in tipis do not have any access to the kitchen or other facilities in either hostel onsite

Tipis sleep a couple or family comfortably (upto 6 people maximum).  Bring your own sleeping bag or sheet and duvet.

Tipis are ready from 2pm - Check out time is 10am on the day of departure

Faux mattresses and wood burner with heat logs

When you think of camping what images are conjured up in your mind? Do you see muddy fields, wet clothes, soggy tents and hearty folk with shorts, socks and boots?

It doesn't have to be this way with the new genre in luxury, comfortable camping and camp sites. You may feel like you are cheating a little but you're there for a holiday, to get way from it all, why suffer? There are many new types of camping holidays that have recently appeared on the market and range our Authentic Mongolian Yurt is one of them.

A yurt, or a Ger as it is known in Mongolia (yurt is a Russian word meaning shanty, so not considered polite!) is a domed home made up of a wooden frame formed by a number of joined wooden lattice walls with a roof made of a central crown with roof poles radiating out and sitting on the top of the walls. The frame is covered in fabric or skins.

Historical evidence suggests that yurts have been used by nomadic people for over 2000 years - the design is superb - portable, yet strong enough to withstand Siberian winds and insulated against the most extreme weather - Mongolia has the widest temperature range in the world - from a blistering +45°C to a biting -55°C - the felt linings insulate the yurt very effectively and the shape deflects the fierce winds around and over the yurt. Ideal for staying cosy on a beautiful Norfolk night!

Yurt price includes:
  • Two double futon’s with mattresses
  • Wood burning stove
  • One bag of fuel and kindling
  • 2 single mattresses
  • Cushions and throw covers.
  • BBQ outside for cooking
  • and for when it gets dark, a lantern

Yurts sleep a couple or family comfortably (up to 6 people maximum). Bring your own sleeping bag or sheet and duvet, or they can be hired for an additional cost of £4.50 for a double duvet, £3 for a single.

Yurts are ready from 2pm - Check out time is 10am on the day of departure

We know it isn't always possible, but we recommend that you arrive before sunset, as customers staying in Tipis and Yurts need to be shown how the Tipi or Yurt works and this is not overly easy when it's dark.

If you are looking for a party site, then this isn't the site for you.  We have a strict noise policy in the late evenings to keep the relaxed atmosphere for both our customers and the adjacent houses.

We are an eco friendly campsite, for more information please click here
