courses, guided walks, quizzes, activity breaks, festive celebrations and
of course our annual Conservation Weekend. Most of our winter events
happen midweek and you can decide whether you want to stay 1, 2 or more
nights around the event. To book, please fill

Open Farm Sunday |

When - 11am and again at 3pm
Activities - Free guided walk of the farm, around the stewardship walks, bird and wildlife spotting, wee beasty bug hunt, see the crops we grow, the machinery we use and the diversification projects we've completed including the backpackers hostel, campsite and cafe.
Directions - We are easy to find, on the A149 Norfolk Coast Road, approximately halfway between Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea in Burnham Deepdale beside the Murco fuel station and opposite St Mary's Church.
Clothing - Please wear appropriate footwear for a farm walk and sun hats if the sun it out, waterproofs if it isn't.

World Snail Racing Championships |

Ready! Steady! Slow! And with that, more than 300 snails dash off, slugging
it out in the most important event in the snail racing calendar.
"Congham is to
snail racing what Newmarket is to horse racing", claims Hilary Scase, event
organiser.
The racetrack, a circle of 13in radius, is kept at optimum dampness
by the trainer, and competitors with names such as Speedy or Schumacher, are
cheered on by the excitable crowd.
To enter, just bring a streamlined snail or
borrow one from the snail trainer on site.
The championships are part of Congham
Fete, which raises money for the 13th-century St Andrew's Church.

The know how to sort most minor problems that might affect you while on a cruise. We will show you over a variety of different diesel engines, including one boxed to simulate the environment you should expect on board. By using problem solving techniques and providing you with a chance to fix them you will leave this course confident that you will not panic next time! NB SailCraft may not have a model similar to your own and so be sure to consult your owners manual to ascertain the whereabouts of the parts in need of regular maintenance.
All the necessary paperwork is provided on the day and the certificate is part of the RYA Cruising Scheme. SailCraft do not provide logbooks with this course, but they are available from their retail shop. This course is run by

Roundtable Christmas Day Swim |

The Hunstanton Round Table Christmas Swim attracts thousands of spectators each year from near and far and has enjoyed fantastic support for 50 years. The event plays a crucial part in many a family Christmas in these parts for both residents and visitors alike and it raises huge sums of money for many charitable causes.
Swimmers assemble around 10.30am and the swim commences at 11am from the Central Promenade.
